Market of Sant Joan de Labritja
Every Sunday from 10.30 in the small village of Sant Joan, in the north of the island, the market and street stalls are set up so that everyone can enjoy the traditional crafts of the area. This beautiful spot becomes a meeting point of rustic life and tourism. Here you’ll find all kinds of handicrafts but especially local organic foods, fruits and vegetables. A charming place for making some shopping with music and a lively atmosphere.

Sant Joan de Labritja festivities
There is no such awaited night as the shortest night of the year: the Night of Sant Joan, full of magic, mystery and fun. And what better way to celebrate it in the homonymous Ibizan village of Sant Joan every June 23, adorned to celebrate the eve of its patron saint day. Its particular way of celebrating this night is with the already known bonfire and ‘correfocs’ (literally, fire-runs) but also with music and a Flower Power party, bringing back the spirit of the 70s to the village. Now summer really starts!

Wine harvest in Ibiza
The end of the summer is the time when farmers and country persons get ready for the grape harvest. Today, Ibizan families still take care of their vineyards and all of them are always impatient for picking the grapes for making delicious ‘vino payés’ (homemade peasant wine) very typical of Ibiza. September is a perfect time to visit Sa Cova, the oldest winery on the island, located in the remote village of Sant Mateu, and where, apart from tasting delicious wines you can take a closer look at the winemaking tradition of the island.

Big day of Sant Miquel de Balansat

Every Thursday during summer you have the opportunity to delve into the Ibizan culture in the Sant Miquel town square, where you can enjoy exhibitions and performances of the traditional dances and costumes, and which is presented in several languages.

The sun sets every day and everywhere, but only Sundays at Benirràs the sundown turns into a magical event that brings bohemian and cosmopolitan people from all over the island. The time of sunset is enlivened with a massive hippie drum and percussion performance where you’ll surely enjoy dancing to the rhythm of the drums.
