Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera

By 4 July, 2013 No Comments

Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera is an authentic Ibicenco village in the heart of the island where you can always find  a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It is located at the crossroads where the roads to the northern villages of Sant Miquel, Sant Llorenç and Sant Mateu fan out from the main Ibiza road.

It’s an ideal spot to spend an afternoon, chatting at one of its terraced bars, browsing through its shops and art galleries viewing its beautiful church or perhaps having a bite to eat in any of the restaurants of vanguard or traditional cuisine. There are always lots of people milling about and the atmosphere is pure Ibiza. Its most famous venue is undoubtedly Bar Costa, right on the church square, renowned for its cured ham sandwiches and its walls adorned with fascinating paintings.
