Today in our blog we suggest you a really nice route through the pretty coves in the north part of the island nearby Sant Joan de Labritja and very close one to each other. Perfect to visit and enjoy them in the same day.

From Sant Joan we’ll go in direction to Cala Xarraca beach, which is at about 5 kilometers and will be the first stop. It is easy to find because it’s very well marked. Cala Xarraca is a beach of great natural beauty that will easily captivate you. Just like all of the coves in the north area of the island. Recommended for peaceful environment lovers as well as for its incredible views. Though in this cove you have all kinds of services, including a very nice restaurant, it’s perfect for practicing diving and snorkeling thanks to its unique seabed of sand and rocks. The slope is quite deep. Flanked by a cliff behind it, it gives the beach a bit of a wild look.

The next stop, just a few minutes away, is the lovely little cove of s’Illot des Renclí. Crystal clear water and looks of a hidden and remote cove. You’ll find little fisherman’s huts and low cliffs. It will be nice to find your spot between the rocks and therefore enjoy full privacy. There’s a restaurant just out of a pine wood where you can enjoy the wonderful and tasty local cuisine.

If you follow the road, within a few minutes you’ll get to the little though interesting beach Cala Xuclar, a great alternative for the packed beaches. There’s usually not much people. It’s little, hidden and quiet. There, you can try and enjoy some of the great Ibiza sea products at the little beach bar and, you can also take a walk around the little paths between the woods and bushes in the area. It’s perfect beach for snorkeling.

Then finally you’ll reach Portinatx, which are actually three beaches or coves: the main one, s’Arenal Gros, s’Arenal Petit, a bit smaller and then the little fisherman’s port, at the end of the road to Portinatx. In this area there’s the touristic centre which has the same name. It has all the services you might need (restaurants, shops, bars, sunbeds and water sports). The beaches are very pretty, with thin sand and crystal clear water. Very shallow with a soft progression. Perfect for families. And at only 9 km from Sant Joan de Labritja.

This whole area is perfect for hiking lovers, who can stroll around and enjoy the magnificent views.
